Longing for Impossible Things

The Dividivi Tree (also known as Watapana) from Aruba inspired me to draw this piece. I drew it for a class assignment which asked for a psychological landscape drawing. It took me 7.5 hours in total. Charcoal on 18 by 24 medium weight strathmore paper.

Mermaid Tattoo

This was a commission I completed for a tattoo design. My customer requested that the mermaid be tattooed as well, and gave me creative freedom on the design. I chose to do a swallow tattoo for both its meaning and because it contrasted with the mermaid's sea nature. I did the lines with ink, but I used Prismacolor pencil for the rest.

A February Night
